His career launched during the time when Chicago Architecture was transitioning from the rough and tumble old school, three martini lunch, pencil throwing, office smoking, cursing principal practices into the contemporary high-tech collaboration driven Architectural studios of today. The advice of mentor John Buenz (Partner at Solomon Cordwell Buenz) to explore of a variety of practice types and scales and to seek out the best projects at nationally and internationally recognized design firms provided the opportunity for a significant body of acclaimed built work and an understanding of the organizations, teams and leadership needed to bring to bring life changing ideas to reality. He has been integral to ensuring that the work is beautifully designed, detailed, and focused on the experiential quality of place.

Andrew is currently engaged in the Blocha Office of Architecture project. BOA is a design consultancy that recognizes the shift in human healthspan, speed of ideas, and commerce is changing the design of our material world.
